My Sleepy Mood Makeup

Sometimes I’m in a sleepy mellow mood and that’s the mood I roll with. On a different day I might fight it and use my makeup to create an awake look, but that’s not always necessary. At 4pm and plans to do chores and watch TV, I was down with embracing my sleepy look.

I’m practicing highlighting my tones from underneath my foundation. As a base, I applied a light layer of mineral foundation all over my face. I also applied a layer of bronzer on my nose and cheek bones.

It’s a work in progress. I like it and I don’t like it. Putting the bronzer under my foundation definitely added a warm dewy hue to my complexion, however, it was a little strong. I’m curious how this technique will work for me during a season other than summer, when I already have a sun-kissed glow. 

Lighting also made a difference. In my mirror the bronzer stood out, but outside I had a nice soft complexion. I’m going to keep playing.

My serum foundation is from Ilia. I also used the Ilia Multi-Stick. I’m digging versatile makeup.

I chose my Lancome mascara. I thought the sultry sexy vibe of this mascara related to my sleepy mood. There’s just something about this mascara…….
