Coloring My Hair At Home with L’Oreal Excellence Creme
In the past few years, my hair has been going through transitions. I stopped going to the salon as much, I used Wellbell for a while and my hair grew longer. However, the length came along with breakage.
I am currently on a restoration journey.
For the time being, I’m skipping the salon and working on a few elements myself, which includes coloring and cutting my own hair. Eventually, I’ll make it back to the hairdresser, but for now, I’m having fun playing and experimenting on my own.
My first at-home color was a different brand. I didn’t like it. At the time I Googled, best home hair color, and I picked one from the list. The color was ok, but not very shiny. I didn’t like the way my hair felt after. And, in the end I had enough product to cover my hair, but it was iffy.
My experience with the L’oreal Excellence Creme* color is the opposite on all counts. I love the way the way my hair feels after, the color is nice and shiny, and while I’m applying it, I’m not afraid I’m not going to have enough or if I’m going to miss any parts of my hair. I have a good amount of hair, so coverage is important for me.
Coloring my hair also gives me the opportunity to multi-task. My hair with all the color goop rests nicely atop my head leaving me able to roam free and do things around the house. I can load laundry, vacuum, make a snack, etc.
The brush I’m using is from Tangle Teezer.*
It’s one of my all time favorite brushes. If you used it, I say, proceed-with-caution. It’s pointy, sharp and grippy. I always use a comb first and brush real slow. Feels real good on my scalp, gently pulls out what needs to be removed, it’s so easy to clean. There is never build up.
I only use this brush on my wet hair when I’m very oiled or somewhat/mostly dry from the blow dryer.
